It all started in 1912 a building materials distribution company that opened its doors for the very first time. Innovators, explorers and champions of their craft, they became part of an exciting new generation of pioneers under the banner of The Vertex Corporation. In those days doing things by halves got you nowhere.
With an appetite for adventure and an eye for detail, Vertex created its own revolution –journeying far and wide to source the finest materials and learn ground breaking techniques that would set us apart.
A century of firsts followed as the Vertex name became Vertex for non-US markets. We were the first company to develop a pure, homogenous vinyl floor tile. The first to introduce a new flooring concept from Taiwan now known as LVT. And we transformed the flooring market with our floating floor system. All these and more have been developed with the customer firmly at heart, with a focus on greater ease of use to help architects and fitters work better and smarter.
Today, that same passion for innovation and unwavering commitment to customers has ensured we continue to lead the way as the credible LVT specialist, through outstanding distribution, global reach and new product development. A measure of how far Vertex has come can be found in our other game-changing brands and the global retailers that stock them – including Home Depot. Plus as shareholders of every manufacturing plant it uses, we enjoy complete control of the supply chain and enviable relationships with manufacturers the world over.

Backed with over 100 years of LVT expertise, we’ve ushered in a new dimension in flooring with the launch of ASPECTA – confirming our place as a world’s specialist within LVT commercial flooring. It’s the culmination of everything that’s gone before and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in this truly unique story.
